Johnny McCollum

Known as "Pappy" to many in the industry, Johnny McCollum has written songs for Toby Keith, Clint Black, James Brown, Farron Young, John Michael Montgomery and Tiny Tim, just to name a few.

Signed to Sun Records as an Arist the same time Elvis was, this Iowa Songwriter has had over one hundred "Cuts". He has been a staff writer for almost every major music publisher in Nashville and has cowritten with some of the greatest songwriters to ever take up a pen. He was a Band leader/performer for 30 years and is widely known for his ability to spot "young" Talent. Also a producer, Johnny produced the first album for up and coming Iowa Country artist Jake McVey in addition to cowriting many of the songs with Jake on his debut CD.

Performing as The Singing Engineer, Johnny wrote a song called "Santa Fe All The Way" that was used extensively by the Santa Fe Railroad.
